Traffic connections
By plane: There is an airport in Tivat (9km away from Kotor), in Podgorica (81km away) and in Dubrovnik – Ćilipi (about 85km away).

By ferry: you can take a ferry to the port of Bar, which is 59km away from Kotor. You can also arrive straight to the port of Kotor by your own sailing boat or yacht. Seasonally, there is a ferry from Kotor to Bari in Italy.

By road: The main Adriatic highway which goes from Budva, across Tivat, to Herceg Novi, does not pass through Kotor. However, Kotor is connected to this highway through Vrmac tunnel. From Herceg Novi there is a road around the bay that passes through Risan and goes to Kotor. From Tivat you can arrive to Kotor in two different ways: you can go through the tunnel Vrmac or by the road that passes through the seaside villages: Lepetane, Stoliv and Prčanj. In addition, there is a third road from Tivat to Kotor. It is the highway that passes through Trojica at Vrmac mountain. If you decide to go by bus you will find bus routes for Kotor from many places in Serbia and Montenegro.
